September 2011 Forbidden and Limited Card List

Forbidden:

Giant Trunade
Pretty much unstoppable, save for Solemn Judgment and Dark Bribe, the latter being a plus 1 for your opponent.

Monster Reborn
Having your opponent topdeck this against to turn the game around is horrible, and it takes alot of Skill Away from Mirror Matches. Takes away the Lonefire-Reborn combo from Plants, forcing them to rely on Limit Reverse which is slower. Also clears more space in the Extra Deck for Xyzs, due to some people playing Synchros just for the small chance of Reborning a Tuner.

Limiter Remover
OTK Card, and the drawback can be avoided using the to be destroyed monsters as Xyz Materials.

Limited:

Trishula (TCG)
Obvious

TSS-Shi En
Six Samurais have survived long enough, it is time for them to go. One Warning causes their boss monster to be unable to be played in their duel. Forcing them to rely on other Synchros, maybe making Hermit-Asceticism builds more popular.

Shien’s Smoke Signal
Smoke Signal makes the deck too consistent, hitting it should make it much weaker, similar to hitting Lightsworns through Charge.

Double Edged Sword Technique
Players shouldn’t be able to spam this card.

Formula Synchron
You get to draw a card when it is summoned, and with Librarian, it is essentially a Pot of Greed.

Hyper Librarian
It is not broken enough to be banned (DSF), anyway it is a YCS Prize card and 6-Month Promo. Banning it will cause lots of players to rage at the amount of money they lost.

Black Rose Dragon
Makes players play their Black Rose Dragon’s more conservatively rather than just placing another one on their Extra Deck, also goes together with Pot of Avarice.

Pot of Avarice
Makes players play their Monsters more conservatively, because they only have one chance to use them again.

Heavy Storm
With Trunade gone, we will need another backrow clearer. And Heavy Storm is the best one there is, its mere presence in the game causes entire playstyles to change. So no more starting first and setting four to five unless you have adequate protection for your backrow. (Eg. Solemn Judgment, Dark. Bribe,Starlight Road)
I like how it requires the player using Storm to have the backrow to counter Road if not he will be at a great disadvantage. (Solemn Judgment, Solemn Warning, Bribe, Seven Tools, Royal Oppression)

Mystical Space Typhoon
Players should not be punished too much for trying to play around Heavy Storm.

Royal Tribute
Can’t let GKs get too dominant. Although DWs wreck this card.

Solemn Warning
Makes summoning Shien more safe. Makes Road more playable.

Semi-Limited:
Reborn Tengu (TCG)
Cards like Malicious and Tengu are not broken once they are Semi-Limited, Limiting or Banning them is just stupid.

Gravekeeper’s Spy
Makes GKs less consistent. While still allowing people to play the Spy Engine in their decks. (Xyzs)

Master Hyperion
Not much difference, I know. But I definitely don’t want Angels to be Tier 1 next format. It is a sacky deck.

Dewloren
It was a horrible mistake to bring this card back to 3. Just like the mistake Konami made when they brought back Rota and Malicious.

Destiny Draw
2 is fine for now. If it doesn’t affect the meta at all, it might go to 3 on the next list.

Unlimited:
Bottomless Trap Hole
The replacement for Solemn Warning that can be countered by Spell Speed 2s. It is especially good with the new Ignition Priority Ruling.

Will do some formatting and further explanations when I get home.
