March 2012 Forbidden and Limited List (Speculation)

First of all, I want to say that this list is based on what should happen IMO instead of what will happen.

Now on to the list.

March 2012 Forbidden and Limited List (Speculation)

Forbidden:

Black Luster Soldier

Future Fusion

Card Destruction

Limited:

Inzektor Hornet

Master Hyperion

Wind-Up Rat

Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity

Tour Guide of The Underworld (TCG)

Semi-Limited:

Mystic Shine Ball

Rescue Rabbit

Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World

Book of Moon

Mystical Space Typhoon

Emergency Teleport

Unlimited:

Tragoedia

Summoner Monk

Destiny Draw

Magical Stone Excavation

Primal Seed

Forbidden:

Black Luster Soldier

Its impact on the format was much less than everybody had expected, however it is still a broken card that is deserving a spot on the Forbidden List. But there is a high chance that it will be left untouched due to its reprint status as a Normal Rare in the OCG Gold Series 2012.

Future Fusion

This card is broke especially in Dragons and can be the base of many broken decks, for example Allen Pennington’s One Card FTK. But sadly, chances are it will not get hit due to Konami promoting Dragons right now.

Card Destruction

I would like to see this card get banned, because it is just too broken especially in Dark Worlds. However, Dark Worlds are not doing that well right now, so it will most likely be left untouched.

Limited:

Inzektor Hornet

Hitting this card will severely hurt the consistency of Inzektors as they have try to either get the lone copy of this card in the deck to their Hand or Graveyard to start their combo. Also makes the deck more prone to lose to D.D. Crow or a Trishula.

Master Hyperion

Agents have been reigning for so long, and this is one of the main reasons apart from Venus. I have turned so many games around just by topdecking this card.

Wind-Up Rat

The Wind-Up Loop is unhealthy for the Metagame and it should be hit harshly.

Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity

See Wind-Up Rat.

Tour Guide of The Underworld (TCG)

IMO Currently the most broken card in the TCG, leads to so many broken plays, ranging from tutoring Sangan to bringing out powerful Rank 3 XYZs such as Leviathan, Leviair, Zenmaines and Zenmaity.

Semi-Limited:

Mystic Shine Ball

Agents will have so many of their plays limited if they have just two Mystic Shine Balls. It also makes drawing one Mystic Shine Ball terrible not to mention two.

Rescue Rabbit

Semi-Limiting it wouldn’t affect the deck much other than making T1 Rabbit less common, which is good in a way.

Mezuki

Just giving Zombies a little boost, maybe allowing them to see more play.

Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World

Even though Dark Worlds are seeing hardly to no play right now, I don’t want to leave them untouched coming into the next format.

Book of Moon

We need this card to stop most of the OTK decks. It also helps out cards like Flamvell Helldog and Jurrac Guaiba.

Mystical Space Typhoon

Three is too much and one is too little, two is just right.

Emergency Teleport

XYZs are much more dominant than Synchros right now, so bringing back this card wouldn’t affect the format that much. It might also allow Psychics to see more play.

Unlimited:

Tragoedia

Promotes XYZs. Also serves as a check to OTKs.

Summoner Monk

Promotes XYZs. The cost is high enough enough for it not to be broken.

Destiny Draw

The Destiny Hero Engine see hardly to no play at all, so Unlimiting this card would not affect the format much.

Magical Stone Excavation

Nobody plays this card and I believe it it balance enough with its heavy cost of the discard of two hand cards.

Primal Seed

With BLS gone, I see no reason for this card to be Limited. Not that it is used even with BLS around.

Yes, I am not unbanning Royal Oppression, I still feel that it is broken and that many games can be won just by setting up a powerful monster and backing it up with Royal Oppression (Eg. Shien/Beast+Opression). Do you really want to see a T1 Ragia backed by Royal Oppression?

Edit: Banned Wind-Up Hunter and Unlimited Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity and Wind-Up Rat.
